What's your role at PTW Newtown Square and how do you help support our clients and patients?

Current staff PT, but future clinical director at  PTW Newtown Square. I strive to provide an unusually pleasant healthcare experience with manual therapy and various hands-on techniques. I try to develop personal relationships with my patients to not only attack their external problem, but strive to achieve their internal problem.

What’s your greatest moment — whether in work, school, business — so far?

My greatest moment so far came March 1, 2020. I was a PT working for an affiliate Ivy Rehab company in the city of Philadelphia. I changed locations and began a new journey working with my childhood best friend of 25 years Mike Quintans.

What's your favorite thing about your job?

Treating a wide variety of athletes of all ages. Also, Cut Above Deli is a hop, skip, and a jump away from work.

How would your 10-year-old self react to your current career at PTW Newtown Square?

Happy with the professional leader I have become.

What was the moment when you decided PT was your calling?

My sophomore year in college. I tore my R labrum playing football for Franklin and Marshall College. I underwent surgery my senior season. The relationship I had with my therapist turned on a light for me to embark down the path of PT.

How is this experience different than any other PT experience you have had?

It is very patient-direct. This PT experience offers a unique one-on-one approach that many other facilities do not offer. Many PT facilities in the area treat patients as a name on a chart. Here at PTW, the patient always comes first. A trustful relationship is established the second a patient walk through the door.

What motivates you in life?

My two daughters Lila and Leni Barbieri.

Who do you love to follow on Twitter or Instagram and why?

I like to follow Mike Reinold, Wesley Wang DPT, The Manual Man, as well as business leader and entrepreneur @therealbradlea.

What’s your favorite piece of technology?

My phone

What’s the best book you’ve read recently?

“The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership” by John C. Maxwell

 What are your podcast recommendations?

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

My daughters and Pica's Pizza.
